OMNICHROMA BLOCKER is a supplementary material to be used in conjunction with OMNICHROMA as a lingual layer to prevent shade-matching interference in these cases. OMNICHROMA BLOCKER can also be used to mask slight staining, or to reconstruct a highly opaque tooth.

• What is the shelf life of OMNICHROMA and BLOCKER?
  The shelf life of OMNICHROMA and BLOCKER is 3 years from date of manufacture.

• How should OMNICHROMA and BLOCKER be stored?
  For optimal performance, please store product in a cool, dark space kept at a temperature between 32-77 degrees.
  

• Is OMNICHROMA and BLOCKER available in compules?
  Yes, OMNICHROMA and BLOCKER are available in compules or PLTs (pre-loaded tips) as well as syringes. Refill sizes are: 4gs per Syringe Refill or (20×0.2g) per PLT refill.
  

• What is OMNICHROMA’s fill weight?
  OMNICHROMA contains 79% (68% by volume) and BLOCKER contains 82% (71% by volume) by weight of spherical silica-zirconia filler and composite filler.
  

• How does the color match work? What is structural color?
  Structural Color Technology is a replication of structural color, a naturally occurring phenomenon seen in morpho butterflies, peacocks, surfaces of CDs, bubbles, etc. When different wavelengths of light are amplified or weakened by the structure of the material itself, the material will express colors other than what the material may actually be.
  For example, if we strip away the light and magnify the surface of a peacock feather, they appear brown. However, when we see the feather naturally, the light is manipulated and our eyes perceive it as the beautiful, metallic looking blues and greens. OMNICHROMA is the first composite to utilize structural color science rather than rely on dyes and pigments to color-match.

• What’s the depth of cure? What if I have a really deep restoration?
  OMNICHROMA’s recommended depth of cure is the standard 2mm. OMNICHROMA works just like any composite you have previously used, just simplified. To restore cavities of more than 2 mm depth, you can work in layers.
  

• Do you recommend OMNICHROMA more for anterior or posterior?
  Because of OMNICHROMA’s supra nano spherical fillers, OMNICHROMA has the strength and durability needed for posterior restorations, as well as the polishabilty and esthetics suited for anterior restorations. OMNICHROMA is truly a universal one-shade composite.
  

• Do I have to use your bonding agent?
  No, any bonding system designed for use with resin composites works well with OMNICHROMA. However, we do recommend our self-etch, self-curing bonding agent, Tokuyama Universal Bond. It is a two component self-cured dental adhesive system for direct and indirect restorations. Tokuyama Universal Bond satisfies ALL three applications for universal bonding agent as defined by Dental Advisor:
  Compatible with different etching techniques: total-, self-, or selective-etch mode
  Compatible with dual- and self-cured materials without the use of a separate activator
  Can be used as a primer for silica-based and metallic restorations
  

• What happens if the tooth gets bleached/changes color later?
  Due to OMNICHROMA’s Structural Color Technology, OMNICHROMA will always adapt to shade of the tooth structure it is bonded to. So, whether your patient’s teeth darken over time or if they want to bleach, OMNICHROMA will shade-match the changing teeth. There is no need to replace the composite!
  

• What cases is OMNICHROMA not suited for?
  There are no case OMNICHROMA is not suited for. It is truly a universal one-shade composite.
  

• Is there a shade that you do not recommend OMNICHROMA for?
  There is no shade that we do not recommend for OMNICHROMA because it matches to the natural red-to-yellow color spectrum that all teeth possess. As long as there is surrounding tooth structure OMNICHROMA can be bonded to, OMNICHROMA will be able to reflect the shade. In cases where there is little to no surrounding tooth structure, we recommend using OMNICHROMA BLOCKER.
  

• What is BLOCKER? How does it work? Do I have to have to use it in order for OMNICHROMA to work?
  You do not have to use BLOCKER in most cases for OMNICHROMA to work.
  BLOCKER is a supplementary material to be used in conjunction with OMNICHROMA as a lingual layer to prevent shade-matching interference in certain cases, such as extensive class III and IV restorations. OMNICHROMA BLOCKER can also be used to mask staining, dark dentin, or to reconstruct a highly opaque tooth.
